ROSA M. PECK

Mrs. Rosa M. Peck, 90, was born in Washington County, Oct. 11, 1880, the daughter of John and Catherine Bitting. She died Aug. 11, 1971 ast the Story County Hospital in Nevada.

After her parents' death in the early 1900's she made her home with an uncle, Jim Thomas. After she and Earl Peck were married Nov. 8, 1905, they moved to a farm in South Dakota, returning to Story County in 1921. They moved to Nevada in 1928 shere she maintained her home until the time of her death.

Mrs. Peck was a member of the Nevada Unitec Methodist Church, the Rachel Society, the Rebekah Lodge, the Roayl Neighbors and a charter member of the Nevada Golden Agers.

She had spent the last ning months at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Earl P. Smith, Slater.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Clara Smith, Slater; a granddaughter, Mrs. Wanda June Klindworth, Minneapolis, Minn. and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Peck, in 1944; her parents, a brother and three sisters.

Funeral services were held Aug. 14, 1971 at 2 p.m. from the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada with the Rev. Marvin Hulse of the Nevada United Methodist Church officiating.
