Ethel Hoberland died Sunday
Mrs. Ethel Hoberland, 75, died about 7:35 a.m. Sunday at the Story County Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born near Zearing, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Beal*, and had been a lifetime resident of the Zearing community.
She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church and of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by a son, Lowell, also of Zearing; a daughter, Mrs. Stanley Oaks, Cashton, Wis.; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Medora Clark, Glendale, Calif., and Mrs. Lila Hambley, Waterloo; and two brothers, Orel Beal*, El Finore, Calif. and Leon Beal*, Iowa Falls.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Zearing Evangelical United Brethren Church, with the Rev. Richard L. Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Zearing Cemetery.
The body will like in state at the Brouhard Funeral Home until time for services.
*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Although the obituary gives Ethel's maiden name as "Beal," it should be "Deal."
