SEVERIE MARTINA LARSON

Severie Martina Larson, 90, of 1235 Eighth St., died of a heart ailment Monday, Feb. 13, 1984, at the Story County Hospital.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada, with Rev. John Chadwick officiating. Burial will be at the Nevada cemetery.

Severie Hausken was born Sept. 28, 1893 to Hans and Sarah (Holverson) Hausken of a farm near Roland. She attended rural school south of Roland.

On June 24, 1914, she married J. Peter Larson at her parents home near Roland. They farmed near Iowa Center and Nevada before moving to Nevada in 1932. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada. J. Peter Larson died July 10, 1983. They were married 69 years.

She is survived by four daughters, Viola Johnson of Zearing, Pearl Cooling of Cedar Rapids, Mickey Cessna of Cedar Falls and Darlene McDaniel of Cedar Rapids, eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and six sisters.

Family will receive friends Tuesday evening at the Ryan Funeral Home.
