Doris L. Cooper
Jan. 23, 1915-Feb. 27, 1995

Doris L. Cooper, 80, of Ames died Monday of multiple sclerosis at her home in Ames. Funeral services are Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Campus Baptist Church in Ames, with pastor Charles Alber officiating. Burial will be in the Story Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Ames.

Doris L. Cook was born in Nevada to Clarence and Hattie (Ingerson) Cook. She married Keith W. Cooper on June 17, 1938, in Nevada. She was a lifetime resident of Story County.

A 1932 graduate of Ames High School, she had attended the American Institute of Business in Des Moines. She had been a homemaker and was a member of the Campus Baptist Church in Ames.

She is survived by her husband, Keith Cooper of Ames; three sons, Kent Cooper of Ames, Kevin Cooper of Ames, and Kim Cooper of Roland; one daughter, Charity Williams of Binghampton, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; son great-grandson; and a brother, Eugene Cook of Nevada.

She was preceded in death by two daughters and one son.

Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon and evening at Adams Funeral Home in Ames, with the family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
