SERVICES FOR CHAS. H. HALL

Funeral services for Charles H. Hall were held from the Nevada Methodist church on Tuesday of last week at 2 p.m. with Dr. Raymond Shipman of Ames and Rev. David Ash of Nevada officiating. The many beautiful flowers were arranged by Mrs. Milo Hadley and Mrs. Kenneth Kinsey. Mrs. Richard Benson, Organist, accompanied Fred McLain who sang, "Beyond the Sunset."

Casket bearers were John Furrer, Kenneth Kinsey, Lyle Baumbardner, Frank Ambrose, Merton Coover and John Hattery. Interment was in Nevada cemetery.

Charles Henry Hall was born Oct. 25, 1880, a son of James J. and Mary Jane Bell Hall, at Peoria in Polk county, and died on April 20, 1957 at Mary Greeley hospital, Ames, age 76 years, 5 months and 25 days. As a small child he lived in Clyde, Iowa Center and Maxwell. In 1888 his parents moved to Collins, where Charles grew to manhood and was graduated from the Collins schools in 1899. After his graduation he entered the mercantile business with his father and operated a general store in Colo.

In 1905 he entered Drake university for the study of law, graduating in 1909.

He was married June 20, 1935, to Hazel Boynton at Hampton and their home has always been in Nevada. He is survived by his wife, Hazel; one son, Oscar L. Hall, a daughter-in-law, Sina Hall, and two grandsons, Fredric Charles Hall and James Marion Hall all of Nevada. he also leaves two sisters, Grace Smith of Cedar Rapids and Jane Biddick of Marion, several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Asa, Bertie and Milo Hall and one sister, Clara Denniston.
