VERNON ADAIR

Funeral services for Vernon Adair, 72, were held from Steven Funeral Home April 10. The Rev. Leonard Fardon, pastor of the Baptist Church, Osceola, officiated. Burial was in the Story Memorial Gardens.

Vernon Adair, son of Andrew and Sarah Adair, was born April 17, 1888 at Clio. he died April 7 at the Veteran's Hospital, Des Moines, where he had been a patient one day. He had been in poor health the past six years.

Mr. Adair was a veteran of World War I.

He is survived by his wife, Grace; a daughter, Mrs. Ilene Johnson, Des Moines; a son, Maynard, Fort Dodge; seven grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Maude McGhee, Lineville and a brother, Elvin, Waterloo. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
