DOROTHY LUCILLE BUCK
Dorothy Lucille Buck, 66, of Nevada, died Friday, July 6, 1984 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
She was born Sept 20, 1917 in Rural Nevada, Iowa to Minnie Hulen and Oscar Babbitt. She graduated from Nevada High School with the Class of 1935.
On April 2, 1941 she married Robert "Mac" Buck in Bethany, Missouri. She lived her life in Nevada and worked for Donnelley Marketing of Nevada, retiring in 1980.
She was affiliated with the First Christian Church of Nevada and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Donnelley Retirement Club.
Survivors include her husband Mac of Nevada; one son, Bob of Nevada; one daughter, Ruth Ann (Mrs. Hubert Doherty) of Downey, Calif.; one brother, Paul Eugene Babbitt of Louisville, Ky.; four sisters, Ruth Romack of Danville, Ill., Pauline Smith of Selma, Ind. and Mary Dymek of Placeville, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Wayne Babbitt and one sister, Juanita Brown.
The funeral was held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 1984 at the First Christian Church of Nevada, with Pastor William Bass officiating. Interment was in the Nevada Cemetery. Ryan Funeral Home of Nevada was in charge of arrangements.
