Minnie Babbitt, 91, of Nevada, died Sunday, March 2 at Story County Hospital in Nevada.

She was born October 29, 1888 in Switz City, Indiana, the daughter of Simpson and Sarah Cruse Hulen. On June 14, 1909 she married Oscar Babbitt at Warthington, Ind. The couple came to Story County, in 1913.

She is survived by a son, Paul Babbitt of Louisville, Ken.; five daughters, Mrs. Inez Kirk of Danville, Ill., Mrs. Dorothy Buck of Nevada, Mrs. Ruth Romack of Danville, Ill., Mrs. Paulline Smith, Muncie, Ind. and Mrs. Mary Dymek of Sacramento, Calif.; seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three children.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 5 at Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, with Pastor William Bass officiating. Burial will follow at the Story Memorial Gardens.
