LaVerne Haynes dies Saturday

LaVerne Eugene Haynes, 38, Nevada, died Saturday* at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. James Louk officiating. Burial is in the Nevada Cemetery.

Mr. Haynes was born April 19, 1937 in Yakima, Wash. He married Genevieve Sue Schneider on May 24, 1964 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Veldon L. Haynes of Nevada; a grandmother, Carolyn Cran of Shelton, Wash.; a brother, Veldon D. of Sheldahl, and a sister, Mrs. Shirley Ashley of Des Moines.

The body will lie in state this afternoon until time of service. Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada is in charge of arrangements.
