Services Monday for Mrs. Briggs
Mrs. Pearl Briggs, 85, 706 Hodge Ave., died Monday at her home.
Services are Monday at 1:30 p.m. from the Adams Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy C. Key of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial is in the Nevada Cemetery.
She was born April 27, 1888 in Willow Lake, S.D. the daughter of Thomas and Martha Osborn. Mrs. Briggs, a former Nevada resident, moved to Ames in 1932. She was employed by Collegiate Manufacturing Co. and was a member of the First Christian Church. Her first husband, B.F. Campbell, died Sept. 29, 1931. She and Ed Briggs were married July 15, 1953 in Ames.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Lloyd B. Campbell, 210 1/2 Main St.; a daughter, Mrs. Luella Watson, Boone; a brother, G. Louie Osborn, R.R. 2; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas, and an infant grandchild.
