Obituary

Ralph Sidney only son of Charles and Minnie Cooper was born in December 19, 1892, in Maxwell, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Pearle Warren, October 7th, 1914. They established their first home in Maxwell where he was associated with the Maxwell Tribune. Later he made farming his occupation and the family resided in the Center Grove Community, in the Colo neighborhood for a number of years then moved to the Nevada community where they have lived for several years preceding his death.

To this union, three daughters and one son were born Marjorie, Mrs. Dale Prescott of Reseda, Calif.; Maxine, Mrs. Virgil Brooks, Joan; Mrs. Kermit Lenning and Robert, the latter three of this community.

Mr. Cooper enjoyed an active life-time association as a member of the church. From the Presbyterian church of Maxwell of which he had been a member since boyhood, he in later life transferred to the Nevada Methodist church. Ralph, as he was well known by many friends, lived a good life, sharing unselfishly everything he had with those he loved and cared for.

He was a member of the Woodman of America, as active member of the Nevada Community club, had served on the School Board of New Albany Twp., and a member of the A.A.A., as president of the Milford P.T.A. and was an usher of the Methodist church at the time of his death.

His parents and only sister, Chloe, one grandson and one grand-daughter, have preceded him in death. His death came on Sunday, January 25th, 1953, at the age of 60 years, one month and six days. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, four children and eight grandchildren. Also many relatives and friends in the community and elsewhere.
