Graveside rites are held Monday for infant son

Graveside funeral services were held at the Nevada Cemetery Monday at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. Azel Smith officiating for Mathew Vern Carsrud, one day old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Carsrud.

The child was born Friday afternoon at the Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.

He is survived by his parents, Ronald and Jane Carsrud, a sister, Ronda; a brother, Scott and his grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Beem of Nevada.
