Myrtle Hemstock rites Monday

Mrs. Myrtle Hemstock, 69, Nevada, died Friday* at the Story County Hospital where she had been a patient three weeks.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. from Ryan's Funeral Home in Nevada with the Rev. Azel Smith officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.

Born in 1899 in Bondurant, she had lived in Story County 25 years.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Order of Eastern Star and the Woman's Relief Corps.

Survivors include a daughter, Judith*, Nevada; three cousins in Des Moines, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas in 1964; and a sister.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Myrtle Hemstock died on 24 January 1969. Judith Hemstock was her step-daughter, the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Hemstock and his first wife, Georgiana Robinson.
