WAYNE H. TAYLOR
Wayne H. Taylor, 45, of Ames, Ia, died Monday, Feb. 8, 1988, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames of heart failure.
He was born April 29, 1942, at Albert Lea MN to Orlin E. Taylor and Eunice M. Tostenson.
He attended school at Mason City IA and Ames.
He was married to Clarene Jo Anderson on Dec. 21, 1973 at Zearing IA.
He moved to Ames from Boone IA 20 years ago and employed at Cyclone Truck Stop in Ames.
Mr. Taylor was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Isaac Walton League. He served in the US Army from 1960 to 1963.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at Cooper-Ryan Funeral Home, 5th St. and Lincoln Hwy., Nevada IA, with Rev. Wilmer Peter of Bible Faith Church officiating. Interment will be in Nevada Cemetery, Nevada IA.
Survivors include his wife, Clarene Jo; a son, John Taylor of Ames; two daughters, LaRay Tayor and Traci Taylor of Ames; five brothers, Donald of Ames, Richard of Story City IA, Paul of Anchorage, AK, Mike of Boone and Couglas of Ames; four sisters, Beverly Middents of Ames, Ardis Cazett of Boone, Coreen Lawrence of Story City and Barbara Thompson of Kelley IA, and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Marlene and Dorothy.
Visitation was held at the funeral home Thursday, Feb. 11, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
A memorial fund has been established.
