WILLIAM C. ALLEN

William C. Allen, 69, of 640 15th St., Nevada IA, died Saturday, May 2, 1987, at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines IA, of cancer.

He was born June 27, 1917 at Nevada to Dorr and May (Wall) Allen.

He was married to Darlene Boelk June 9, 1940, at Nevada.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene; two sons, John W. Allen of Ankeny, IA; Randy K. Allen of Des Moines; two granddaughters, Lisa Allen of Ankeny and Stephanie Allen of Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Mr. Allen was with the Nevada Post Office for 33 years and retired as assistant postmaster.

He was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church and a World War II veteran.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, at Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery, Nevada.

A memorial fund has been established.
