Orlin E. Taylor

Orlin E. Taylor, 87, of Ames died this morning, June 18 at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames. He had been il for six months.

Born Dec 22, 1911 in Story County to Elmer and Dora Huffman Taylor, he married Eunice Martha Tostenson Sept. 14, 1938 in Hollandale, Minn.

He worked at the Iowa State University Animal Science arm for 22 years before his retirement.

Survivors include six sons, Wayne Howard, Donald Dean, Richard Orlin, Douglas Gene, all of Ames, Paul Steven of Anchorage, Alaska and Michael Thomas of Boone; four daughters, Beverly Sharlene (Mrs. Richard N. Middents) of Ames, Ardis Dawn (Mrs. Clifford D. Cazett) of Jewell, Coreen Emilie (Mrs. Joe R. Lawrence) of Story City, and Barbara June (Mrs. Gary L. Thompson) of Kelly; four brothers, Darrell H. Taylor of Florida, Virgil C. Taylor of Albert Lea, Minn., Carlos O. Taylor of Marshalltown, and Lyle H. Taylor of Mason City; and 30 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Eunice, two daughters and one grandson.

Services are Wednesday, June 20 at 1:30 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada with Rev. Olaf Holen officiating. Burial will be in Nevada.
