From Adams & Soderstrum Funeral Home obituary, Story County, Iowa:

Narcisa "Tessie" Speed
April 11, 1953 - May 13, 2013

Narcisa Bonsato “Tessie” Speed, 60, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 13, 2013 at Long Term Care Center in Nevada, Iowa, after a 19 year struggle, the result of a debilitating car accident.

Tessie Speed was born April 11, 1953 to Rizaldo and Leonarda (Dalucan) Bonsato in Esperanza Sison, Pangasinan, Philippines. Tessie met her husband, Noel, when he was stationed in the Philippines. As is common with married military life, Tessie and Noel traveled the world and she enjoyed immersing herself in all the different cultures. They eventually settled in England for four years; and then made their home in Phoenix, Arizona. There Tessie worked as a Training and Nutritionist Administrative Assistant for the Maricopa County Head Start Program. Tessie was an active member of the Pacific Island and Southeast Asia Club. She always looked forward to her visits back to see her family in the Philippines. She crocheted or did needle point every free moment and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Tessie loved the sunrises and sunsets of the desert.

After 10 years in Arizona, they moved to Iowa in 1998.

Tessie, blessed by being no longer in pain, is survived by her husband, Noel Speed, of Huxley; one daughter, Terri Stock, of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin; her mother, Leonarda, of the Philippines; three sisters; and four brothers.

She was preceded in death by her father and one sister.

A private family burial will take place at a later date.
