Eda K. Keltner
January 6, 1916 - April 16, 2013

Eda K. Keltner was born January 6, 1916 to Peter F. and Magda (Gronbech) Petersen in Ames, Iowa. She married Benjamin Keltner in Ames on February 5, 1938. Eda was very proud of her Danish ancestry and would gladly tell you the story of her parent’s immigration to America. She enjoyed camping, fishing, her travels to Denmark, visiting with people and spending time with family.

Eda passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Colfax Health and Rehabilitation Center in Colfax, Wisconsin at 97 years of age.

She is survived by two sons, George Keltner of Sand Creek and James (Beverly) Keltner of Colfax; her first cousin, Erna Larsen of Denmark; two grandchildren, Shawn (Amber) Keltner and Scott Keltner; and five great-grandchildren, Kelty, Kree, Meadow, Rayna and Benjamin Keltner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Magda Petersen; her husband, Benjamin; and one brother, George, who was killed in action in France during WWII.
