Arlene M. Toft
May 21, 1920 - March 27, 2013

Arlene M. Toft was born May 21, 1920 in North English, Iowa to parents Arthur and Hazel (Martin) Lindsey. She graduated with a degree in teaching from Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls, Iowa. She taught school at Conroy and Collins, Iowa. She married George Toft on April 17, 1949 at the Presbyterian Church, in Mt. Vernon, Iowa. They resided in Lytton, Iowa until 1963 when they moved to Story City.

Arlene M. Toft, 92, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2013 at Bethany Manor in Story City, Iowa.

Survivors include two daughters: Carol Meldman (David) of Mahtomedi, MN and Barbara Campbell of Wichita, Kansas and one son, David Toft of Cedar Rapids, Iowa: grandchildren: Erin (Nathan) Blevins, Eric Campbell, Rachel Meldman, Rebecca Meldman and Jacob Meldman and one great grandchild, Brooks Blevins; also two nieces and two nephews.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Hazel Lindsey, her husband, George Toft, and her daughter-in-law, Sharon Toft.

In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to either Bethany Life Foundation, Immanuel Lutheran Church or Homeward Hospice.
