Dorothy J. Christian
November 19, 1919 - March 26, 2013
Dorothy was born on November 19, 1919 to parents George D. and Laura (Phares) Dolph in Colo, Iowa. She graduated from Nevada High School. On May 23, 1942, Dorothy married Richard Christian. She worked as a secretary at Iowa State University and the Roland State Bank and was part owner of the “Blue Onion” in Roland. She lived in Roland, Iowa from 1942 until going to Bethany Manor. She was an active member of the Salem Lutheran Church, Friends-n-Service, Bethany Manor Board, and RADC. She enjoyed collecting antiques, and Toby mugs.

Dorothy J. Christian, 93, passed away March 26, 2013 at Bethany Manor in Story City, Iowa.

She is survived by her sister, Glendora Mae Rovere, Toms River, New Jersey and niece, Paula Sampson of Story City.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her: parents, husband Richard on 2/ 2/1984, brother, George Dolph and sister, Laura Reutlinger.
