George J. Uhl, M.D. was born February 25, 1921 to Edward Glenn and Caroline (Tweed) Uhl in Ames, Iowa. He was a retired family practice physician and mechanical engineer.

George passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Wesley Village in Wilmore, Kentucky at 92 years of age.

Survivors include his daughter, Nancy (Stephen R.) Hillis; his son, Danny (G. Steven Medley) Uhl; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Anna Marie Uhl Carter.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
