ED WIERSON FUNERAL HELD

Ed Wierson, son of the late Ole and Carrie Wierson, was born near Story City on December 11, 1894 and passed away the University hospital in Iowa City on July 24, 1951 at the age of 56 years, 7 months and 13 days.

He was married to Miss Bertha Sunness at Story City on May 28, 1919. Two children were born to this union, Robert of Ontario and Corrine (Mrs. Robert Kruger) of Fort Dodge, who with their mother survive him. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and two brothers, Leslie of Portland, Ore., and Otis of Roland, and three sisters, Mrs. Veva Tegland of Ames, Mrs. Lila Jorgenson of Story City, and Mrs. Myrtle Goodmanson of Roland.

Following their marriage they farmed near Kenyon, Minn., and near Story City and Roland. Later they moved to Ontario where Mr. Wierson operated a road maintenance machine for a number of years.

Mr. Wierson had been in ill health for some time, and was bedridden the past few months, and was hospitalized in Iowa City since April.

Funeral services were helc Saturday, July 28 in the Bethesda Lurtheran church in Ames, with Rev. P. A. Boe in charge. Special music sonsisted of a solo by Miss Betty Ann Jorgenson of Story City, and a duet by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Olson of Ames. Pall bearers were nephews of the deceased, Onel Thorson, Leslie Wierson, Jr., Leslie Jorgenson, Robert Goodmanson, Arnold Wierson and Marvin Sunness. Burial was made in the Story City cemetery.
