Olive B. Holm
JUNE 18, 1901 -JAN. 30, 1999Olive B. Holm, 97, of Story City, died of heart failure Saturday at Bethany Manor Nursing Home in Story City. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bethany Manor Chapel in Story City. Burial will be in Story City Cemetery.
Olive B. Holm was born in Story City, the daughter of Ben T. and Olena (Jorgenson) Holm. She worked for 22 years at the telephone company then 14 years at Moulin's 5 & 10. She then served as a news correspondent for the Des Moines Register and Tribune and Ames Tribune for 25 years. She was also a correspondent for the Nevada Journal. She was a lifelong member of St. Petri Lutheran Church and served as secretary and treasurer of the senior choir for many years.
There are no immediate survivors.
She was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
Visitation is one hour before the service Tuesday at Bethany Manor.
Memorials may be made to her church.
Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City is in charge of arrangements.
