MARTIN H. HENRYSON

Funeral services for Martin H. Henryson, 85, were held Jan. 27 from St. Petri Lutheran Church, Story City. The Rev. M. C. Hagedorn, chaplain at Story City Bethany Manor, officiated. A service preceded at Bethany Manor in the morning. Burial was at Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Martin Henry Henryson, so of Oliver and Martha Henryson, was born on a farm in Hamilton County Aug. 17, 1884. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Petri Lutheran Church.

On July 29, 1909, he and Luttie Carpenter were married. They farmed north of Story until 1951, when they retired and moved to Story City. The couple lived at Story City Bethany Manor the past two years, and last summer, observed their 60th wedding anniversary.

Mr. Henryson died at Story City Memorial Hospital Jan. 25.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Maxim Henryson, Corning and Lloyd Henryson, Story City; a daughter, Mrs. Judith Askelson, Story City; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, a brother and two sisters, T. Z. Henryson, Mrs. Margaret Mortvedt, and Clara Henryson, all of Story City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, a grandson, a great-grandson, two brothers and two sisters.

Pallbearers were Orville Anderson, Howard Anderson, Ansel Mortvedt, Walter Mortvedt, Harold Henryson and Albert S. Henryson.
