Helen E. Jacobson, 86, of Story City, died of heart failure Saturday at Story County Long Term Car Center in Nevada. Funeral services were today at Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City, with burial in Story City Cemetery.

Helen E. Jacobson was born in Gilbert, the daughter of John T. and Nellie (Harnden) Hill. On July 6, 1932, she married Theroy J. Jacobson in Preston, Minn. They moved to Story City from a farm west of town in 1975. Mrs. Jacobson was a member of St. Petri Lutheran Church.

Survivors include four sons, John Jacobson of Mesa, Ariz.; Thomas Jacobson of Oakhills, Calif., David Jacobson of Story City, three daughters, Barbara Fossel of Cedar Rapids, Thelma Johnson of Nevada, and Ruth Ann Brown of Riverview, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, one grandson, and one great-granddaughter.

Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City was in charge of arrangements.
