Mrs. Langland, Story City, Died

Mrs Minnie Langland, 80, a longtime resident of Story City, died this morning at 8:30 shortly after entering Story City Memorial Hospital. She died lf a heart condition.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ella Rustwick, of Sioux City, three brothers, Anton Swenson, Sioux City, Martin Swenson, Battle Ground, Wash., and Severin Swenson of Ismland, Norway; and many nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Andrew, preceded her in death many years ago. He was a building contractor in Story City.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. from the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. H. T. Masted officiating. Burial will be in the Story City Municipal Cemetery. Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

MRS. MINNIE LANGLAND

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Langland, 80, were held Feb. 29 at 3 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City, with the Rev. Harold T. Masted officiating.

Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Silas Jacobson, Charles Kleine, Howard Reisetter, Eugene Olson, George and Elmer Swenson.

Born in Neerstrand, Stavanger, Norway, she came to the United States at the age of 19. She made her home with an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Swenson on a farm in the Story City area.

She died Feb. 27 at Story City Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Sivert Rustwick of Sioux City and three brothers, Anton Swenson of Sioux City; Martin Swenson, Battle Ground, Wash. and Severin Swenson, Imsland, Norway and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew, in 1939 and three sisters.
