Rasmus Holland, 77, died Jan. 1 at 12:30 p.m. at Story City hospital where he had been a patient for a week. Prior to his hospitalization he was a resident of the Sunset home for two and one-half years.

A prayer service was held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Sunset Home. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. in Bethel Lutheran church. The Rev. A. J. Bringle officiated. Burial was in the Story City hospital.

Mr. Holland was born in Norway Sept. 22, 1878. He had lived in and around Story City for 57 years. He was a retired farmer.

Surviving are two brothers, Tollef Holland, Radcliffe, and Osmund of Story City; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Lundy and Mrs. Inger Frette, both of the Sunset Home.
