MRS. WILLIAM J. BURKHARD

Funeral services for Mrs. William J. Burkhard, 43, were held March 22 from Nenah, Wis., and March 24, from the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City, with the Rev. C.A. Gisselquist officiating at the second service. Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Luther, Sterling and Arthur Lund, Gary Carpenter, Stanley Collins and Casper Torkelson.

Mrs. Burkhard died March 21 at St. Elizabeth's Memorial Hospital in Appleton, Wis.

Marilyn Elaine Lund was born Aug. 28, 1928, in Story City. She was baptized and confirmed in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City. In 1958, she married William J. Burkhard in the Immanuel Lutheran Church. They lived in Ames for three years; Cleveland, Ohio, for six years; Appleton, Wis., one year and Neenah, Wis. for the past four years.

Survivors include her husband, William; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann, 11; and a son Thomas Lee, 8; her mother, Mrs. Sophie Lund of Story City and one brother, Lowell Lund of Midland, Tex. She was preceded in death by her father, Theodore Lund.
