EDNA MARIE ALLIE

Mrs. Edna Marie Allie, age 69, of rural route 1, Jewell, died Sunday, Sept. 23 at the University Hospital at Iowa City. She was born December 22, 1903 in Boone County to James and Anna Anderson Godwin. In 1925 she married Roy Allie. They had farmed south of Mackey, west of Jewell and west of Randall.

Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home Story City. Burial will be in the Story City Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Betty Mackey of rural route two, Boone, Mrs. Norma Anders of West Bend, Mrs. Barbara Stoner of Altoona, Mrs. Jeanette Anderson of Gilbert; fifteen grandchildren; five brothers, Willard of Boone, Robert of Story City, James of Boone, Emory of Boone, and Eugene of Ogden; five sisters, Mrs. Bessie Couse, Des Moines, Mrs. Sylvia Nelson, Mrs. Ruby Browning, Mrs. Aubrey Davidson, and Mrs. Elizabeth Allie, all of Boone. She was preceded in death by her parents.
