Harry Nielsen

Harry Nielsen, 74, of Story City died Friday morning at his home of an apparent heart attack.

Born west of Story City in Hamilton County, Nielsen had farmed in the Story City areal all his life.

He is survived by his wife, the former Ladora Strachn; a brother, Art of Belmond; and a sister, Mrs. Trena Miller of Ames.

Nielsen was preceded in death by his parents, Hans and Johanna Nielsen, and by five sisters.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 12 at the Soderstrum-Larosn Funeral Home in Story City at 1:30 p.m. with burial in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

The body will lie in state from Sunday until the time of service at the funeral home.
