Obituary for Roselyn M. Reinsch

Roselyn M. Reinsch was born November 8, 1923 to Henry and Mae Thede in Boone, Iowa. Her heart was eternally silenced on March 3, 2013 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. She married Raymond A. Reinsch on January 1, 1944. They lived and worked in Ames until 1983, when they retired and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where they lived for 27 wonderful and healthy years. After losing her beloved husband in 2011 after 67 years of marriage, she returned to Boone to be closer to her family.

She was a hard worker and proud of every job she ever held, from working at the Ordinance Plant during the early part of the war, being one the first meter maids in Ames, to various other jobs until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, Wheel of Fortune and Search-A-Words.

She is survived by her children, Connie (Greg) Ewing of Leon, Iowa, Steven Reinsch of Sioux City, Dennis (Julie) Reinsch of Ames, Lorrie (Marc) Boothby of Moville; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Eileen Gustafson, Hazel Johnson and Chris Alexander, all of Boone; one brother, Ross Thede of Brighton, Colorado; and two sisters-in-law, Harriet Thede and Barbara Thede of Boone.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, five brothers; and two grandchildren, T.J. Reinsch and Tiffany Ewing.

Per her wishes, her body was cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date.
