Services Friday for Torbjorn Holm

TORBJORN M. HOLM

Services will be Friday, February 21, 2 p.m., in St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City for Torbjorn M. Holm, 74, of Story City who died Monday, Feb. 17, 5 p.m. at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines. He had been in ill health for several years. The Rev. Rolfe S. Johnstad will officiate with burial in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Born May 3, 1900 to Tom and Mary Holm, on October 1, 1929 hr married Ethel Olson. He owned and operated Holm Hardware in Story City for many years and later Holm Real Estate and Insurance in Story City.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel; three sons: Richard of Des Moines, Thomas of Ankeny and Gerald (Jerry) of Fountain Valley, Calif.; five grandchildren; and two sisters: Alvena Holm and Mrs. Randie Larson of Story City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

The body will lie in state at the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City from Wednesday until time of service.
