Geneva S. Nessa, 84, of Story City died of heart failure Thursday at Bethany Manor Nursing Home in Story City Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Bethany Manor Chapel in Story City with the Rev. Thomas Ruess and Chaplain Sandy Anenson officiating. Burial will be in the Story City Cemetery in Story City.

Geneva S. Nessa was born Aug 27, 1915, near Belmond, the daughter of Ed and Mary Charlson.* She lived in the Story City area since 1923. She married Milo Nessa in 1941. She was a member of St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City.

Survivors include her husband, Milo of Story City, two sons, Charles of White Hall, Mich., and Craig of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and three brothers.

Visitation was Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City with the family.

* Geneva (Tandy) Nessa was the daughter of John Tandy and Isabell Manion. She was a foster daughter of Edward and Mary Charlson of Story City and Mrs. Charlson's obituary lists her as such.
