Leslie K. Jacobson

Leslie K. Jacobson, 88, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at Sutter Delta Memorial Hospital in Antoch, California. Funeral services were held Thursday, June 19, 2003 at 11 a.m. at St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City. Burial was at the Story City Cemetery.

Leslie Kermit Jacobson was born June 30, 1914, in Milo, North Dakota to Louie L. and Nellie C. (Erickson) Jacobson. He graduated from Story City High School in 1932 and from Iowa State University in 1939. He married Jean Mary Sanna on March 22, 1941. He moved back to Story City in 1972 from Clarinda, before moving to Brentwood, California three years ago.

Leslie was a member of St. Petri Lutheran Church and Story City Kiwanis Club. He was a lifelong Chicago Cubs, Bears and Bulls fan.

Survivors include his wife, Jean of Brentwood, California; two sons, Andrew and his wife, Margaret of Trout Lake, Washington, and Dennis and his wife, Diane of Springfield, Missouri; two daughters, Mary Ann McCoy and her husband, Mie of Danville, California and Rebecca Scafferi and her husband, Carl of Marshalltown; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Eunice Kacalek of St. Paul, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
