Funeral services were held Monday for Mrs. C. L. Johnson,66, who died at the local hospital last Friday morning after being a patient there for three weeks after she suffered a fractured hip in a fall at her home.

A prayer service was held at the Larson funeral home, followed by a service in the Immanuel church with Rev. T. J. Alvestad officiating. Burial was at the local cemetery.

Mrs. Benj. Anderson and Truman Quam sang two numbers at the church, "I Know of a Sleep in Jesus" and "God's Wayas are the Best Ways."

Casketbearers were Gaylord Johnson, Gaylord Henryson, Clarence Johnson, Eugene Eness, Harold Henryson and Arnold Nelson.

Some over $200 was given in her memory to the local hospital and various mission projects.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, two sons, Chelsea and Howard; and two daughters, Minnie (Mrs. Robert Larimer) of Newton, and Marjorie (Mrs. Vern Norlin) of Ames; and three brothers, Lewis Beroen, Henry Beroen, and Anna Henryson, all of this place.

Mrs. Margaret Johnson daughter of Hans and Helen Henryson Beroen, was born May 28, 18878 on the Beroen homestead east of Story City. She was bpatized on July 10, 1887, by Rev. C. C. Holter in the Bethel Lutheran church and confirmed in the same church by Rev. G. O. Paulsrud, Dec. 1, 1901.

On August 12th, 1914 she was united in the bonds of holy matrimony to Chris L. Johnson by Rev. G. O. Paulsrud in Bethel church. She became a member of Immanuel church in the early history and was a faithful member there.
