Phyllis Ann Gorman
April 27, 1943 - January 2, 2013

Phyllis Ann Ranger Gorman, 69, of Ames, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 while at patient at Mary Greeley Medical Center. A Celebration of Phyllis' life will be Monday, January 7, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Stevens Memorial Chapel, 607 28th St., Ames with burial to follow at Ames Municipal Cemetery. The family will greet friends beginning at 11:30 am.

Phyllis was the daughter of Charles and Bertha Espeland Ranger and was born in Eldora on April 27, 1943. She graduated from Radcliffe High School and Ellsworth College in Iowa Falls. Phyllis worked as an assistant manager with numerous finance companies in Ames prior to her retirement. She married Robert "Bob" Gorman on October 4, 1972 in Ames. Bob preceded her in death on January 20, 2008 and they had no children.

Phyllis is survived by her brother, Romaine (Darlene) Ranger of Nevada; a sister, Ramona Groenhoff of Des Moines; numerous nieces and nephews and her dog, Flash. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bob and a sister, Doris Girouex.
