Anna Marie Buffington
June 2, 1916 - January 22, 2013

Anna Marie (O'Donnell) Buffington, 96 of Colo, died on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Hubbard Care Center. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 610 3rd St. S.W. in State Center with Father Rick Dagit officiating. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery in Colo.

Anna was born on June 2, 1916 to Luke and Anna (Nelson) O'Donnell in Colo. She attended school in Colo and on August 31, 1933, she married Clifford Earl Buffington in St. Anthony. She was a homemaker and member of the Hi-Lo Club and St. Joseph's Catholic Church in State Center. Anna enjoyed playing cards and visiting with family and friends.

Anna is survived by three sons Gary of Lamar, MO, Krandel of Colo, and Virgil (Jolene) of Jamesport, MO; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on May 2, 1971, three sisters, one brother, 1 daughter Karol on January 14, 2003 and two sons; Darwin on October 5, 1941 and Michael on April 1, 2001.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 25 after 2:00 p.m. with the family present after 5. A Rosary service will begin at 7:00 p.m. at Chet Ryan Mortuary, 708 Fifth St. Nevada.

A memorial fund has been established in Anna's memory.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Anna and her family.
