Charles Leslie Hall (1914-2012)

Charles Leslie Hall was born on July 3, 1914 and passed away on November 28, 2012. at the age of 98. "Doc" as he was lovingly known was born in Independence, Iowa. He married Lucille Glidden in July of 1940. They had three sons, Jon, James, and Joseph. Dr. Hall graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Monies, Iowa in 1942. He was a well loved general practitioner in Zearling, Iowa for over 30 Years. He and Lucille then moved to Colorado Springs Where he served as a civilian physician at Fort Carson Army Base from 1977-1986. After retiring, Dr. and Mrs.Hall traveled extensively throughout the world. "Doc" enjoyed reading, photography and woodworking. He made and donated over 5,000 wooden toys and cars per year to children in hospitals across Colorado Springs. Dr. Hall was the first Osteopathic Physician named as Chief of Staff at the Storey County Hospital in Nevada, Iowa. He was awarded physician of the year by the Iowa High School Athletic Association.

Dr. Hall is survived by Lucille his wife of 72 years, son, Dr. Jon Hall and wife Kathleen of North Carolina; son, Dr. James and wife Dr Robin Hall of Texas; son, Joe Hall and wife Gigi of the Phillipines; four Granddaughters - Liz, Stephanie, Mary, Pat and Kristin and Four Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m., following with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2715 E. Pikes Peak Ave.
