Frank G. “Jerry King, 91, of Madrid, formerly of Nevada, died Thursday at Des Moines general Hospital of heart failure. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Frank G. “Jerry” King was born in Collins to William Winfield and Martha Jane (Jones) King. On Oct. 3, 1929, he married Opal Fern in Nevada. He was employed in the U.S. Post Office in Nevada from 1942-1971, and with Nevada National Bank from 1934 to 1942.

Mr. King was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Nevada and the Order of the Eastern Star. He was a 50 year member of the Nevada Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner and C.P.I. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, dancing, painting and summering in Minnesota.

Mr. King is survived by one son Richard D. King of Crown King, Ariz.; one daughter, JoAnn King of LaQuinta, Calif.; two grandchildren; and six (great /H/) grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada, with the family present. memorial contributions may be made to the church.
