BORN: March 24, 1918
DIED: November 12, 2012
LOCATION: Story City, Iowa

Mildred Thompson, 94 of Story City died November 12, 2012 at Bethany Manor in Story City. She was born March 24, 1918 to Lewis S. and Amelia (Oswald) Larson in Story City. Mildred and Theodore Thompson were married June 25, 1939 at Grace United Methodist Church in Story City. Theodore died March 29, 1991. She was a school teacher in a one room school, past President of the Grace United Methodist Church Women, member of the Center Cemetery Association, Violet Club, and Founding member of the Home Builders Club. She enjoyed quilting, crafts, and her family.
Mildred is survived by: three daughters Roberta (Steve) Adams of DeWitt, IA; Elaine Thompson of Justin, TX; and Teresa Warren of DeWitt, IA; 1 son, Philip (Dawn) Thompson of Story City; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter Theodora Kay, brother Dr. Robert Larson and sister, Katherine Rau.
