June Elsbeth Weeks Swanson 93, of Slater passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the Madrid Home in Madrid.

June Elsbeth Weeks Swanson was born June 1, 1919 to Thomas and Elsbeth Weeks. She married Roland Swanson October 24, 1941. June was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Slater. June is survived by: daughter, Regina (Jack) Ross of Omaha, Nebraska and son Steve (Ann) Swanson of Prairie City, Iowa; grandchildren: Christopher (Sunshine) Ross, Nicholas (Angela) Ross, Jonathan (Angela) Ross, Michael Swanson, and Jennifer (Brad) Van Der Hart; great-grandchildren: Allison Ross, Leo Ross, Cody Van Der Hart and Cade Van Der Hart; sister, Dorathy Severson, Ames, Iowa and brother Ervin (Elaine) Weeks, Oregon City, Oregon; sister in law, Elaine Weeks, Slater, Iowa and sister in law, Dorothy Swanson, North Liberty, Iowa.

June was preceded in death by: her husband, Roland; brothers William and Robert Weeks and sisters Ruby Thompson and Marian Mae Weeks. Private family burial at the Bethlehem Cemetery in Slater.
