BORN: January 19, 1936
DIED: September 1, 2012
LOCATION: Huxley, Iowa

Barbara M. (MacLearn) Daisy of Huxley, Iowa went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 1, 2012. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday September 5 at the Hope Church of the Nazarene in Ankeny, Iowa with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at the cemetery in Lake City, Iowa.

Barbara was born January 19, 1936 in California. Much of her young life was spent in Arizona and California. She attended nursing school in Pasedena, California. While living and working in Pasadena, she met Arnold Daisy. They were married on February 1, 1963. They moved from California to Huxley, Iowa in 1971. Barbara worked as a nurse for Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames until she retired in 1995.

Barbara loved to travel when she was young, having visited Newfoundland, Alaska and a great deal of the United States. She loved to hunt and fish, a passion she shared with her husband. Barbara was a dedicated and compassionate nurse who worked hard to help others.

Barbara is survived by her husband Arnold, two sisters, Dorothy Hildreth and Carol Minton, and a brother, Paul MacLearn.

Soderstrum-Riis Funeral Home of Slater is assisting the family.
