Lois M. Cline
January 8, 1926 - February 24, 2011

Lois Mae Cline, 85 of Nevada passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the Story County Medical Center with her loving son by her side.
Visitation will be held at the Memorial Lutheran Church Lounge 701 11th St. in Nevada at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 28, 2011. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary of the Church with Pastor Myron Herzberg officiating. Lois’s final resting place will be by her husband at the Evergreen Memory Gardens in Nevada.

She was born January 8, 1926 to David and Anna (Brandt) Butler in Carroll, Iowa. She attended Carroll Public Schools and graduated from Carroll High School in 1944.

On April 26, 1946 Lois and Dale J. Cline, son of Sam and Vera Cline of Auburn, were united in marriage at the Saint John’s Lutheran Church in Carroll.

After moving to Nevada Lois was employed by Rueben H. Donnelley, Montgomery Ward in Ames, Ambrose’s, and Ben Franklin where she retired after spending 31 years working on Main Street in Nevada. She enjoyed bowling, reading, gardening, crocheting, knitting, sewing, and quilting. She had a great love for her God, family, and friends.

Those left to cherish Lois’s memories are her son; Daniel Cline of West Des Moines; one brother Leslie (Rose “Babe”) Butler of Carroll; sister-in-law Margaret Mackler of Tucson Arizona; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many precious friends.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, his parents and three sisters, and her parents.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Lois and her family.

Service:

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 28, 2011 at 11 a.m. Memorial Lutheran Church 701 11th Street in Nevada.

Cemetery:

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memory Garden, Nevada, Iowa
