Raymond Lee Middleton
October 28, 1918 - July 27, 2011

Raymond Lee Middleton, a carpenter and avid gardener for many years, went to be with his wife, Dorothy, on Wednesday, July 27, 2011.
Raymond was born on October 28, 1918 in Sedalia, Missouri to Douglas L. and Minnie C. (Carter) Middleton. He served in WW II with the 2532nd Army Air Force Unit from 1942-1945. Raymond was an aerial gunner and flew several missions in France and Germany. On March 23, 1947, he married Dorothy Maxine Davis in Sedalia, MO.

Raymond is survived by 3 daughters, Joyce (James) Durbin of Marion, Linda (Ronald) Schulz of Collins, and Carol Middleton of Santa Ana, CA; 3 sons, Michael Middleton of Des Moines, Robert (Connie) Middleton of McCallsburg, and Carl (Cheryl) Middleton of Bradenton, FL ; 6 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy on February 5, 2008, and all his brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 30 from 1:30-3:00 p.m. at Chet Ryan Mortuary, 708 Fifth Street in Nevada. Private burial of the cremains will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery in Collins.

A memorial fund has been established for a planting in Ray and Dorothy's memory.
