Dr. Foster Cady, PhD

August 5, 1931 - July 13, 2011
Nevada, Iowa

Foster Cady, 79, of Nevada, died Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at Northcrest/Heartwood House in Ames, Iowa.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Foster was born August 5, 1931, in Middletown, New York, the son of Foster and Claira (French) Cady. He attended Cornell University, University of Illinois, and received his PhD at the University of North Carolina in 1960. Foster was a Professor of Statistics and taught at ISU, University of Kentucky, and Cornell University in New York. He was united in marriage to Helen Weller and served in the US Army, Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Helen; two sons: William (Paula) Cady of Colo, Iowa, David (Terri) Cady of Scottsville, Virginia; one daughter: Susan Bryant of Oxford, North Carolina; one sister: Helen Hulle of Westtown, New York; and six grandchildren.

Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory is handling arrangements.
