Judith Judy Elliott

June 3, 1945 - August 21, 2011
Tellico Village, Tennessee

Judith Ann (Judy) Elliott - age 66 of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, TN passed away on August 21, 2011 at Mercy Hospital West.

Judy was a member of the Community Church at Tellico Village. Judy is a graduate of Nevada High School, Nevada, IA; Iowa Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, Des Moines, IA; and the University of Maine Nurse Practitioner Program, Portland, ME. She retired from the medical profession in 1999. She married her high school sweetheart. Judy was an accomplished seamstress and she had a passion for cooking.

She served in multiple capacities with the First United Methodist Church, Bangor, ME, both as member and chairperson. She had a beautiful voice and sang in the Church Choir for over 30 years. Her joy was her family. Judy is also an organ donor.

Judy was preceded in death by her mother Dorthedia Simons Leath and her sister, Cheryl Leath. She is survived by her husband of 45 years Ron Elliott, daughter, Lori Elliott Jarvis (Otis) of Chesterfield, VA; son Eric Elliott (Danielle) of Cartersville, GA; grandchildren Devan, Kelsey, Tyler, Alex and Zach; father, Bryan Leath; sister Barbara Leath and brother Rick Leath (Kristy); brother in law Lonnie Elliott (JoEllen) and family, nieces, Amber Bara (Michael) and Paige Friess (Keith); nephews , Chad Leath (Kheria), Todd Elliott (Kelly), and Grant Elliott.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Community Church at Tellico Village. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada with graveside services to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Nevada First United Methodist Church.
