Obituary

Margaret Josephine (Frank) Yungclas, 72, of Ames, died Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the Israel Family Hospice House. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 30 at 1:00 p.m. and visitation from 12:00 noon to service time at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Margaret Josephine (Frank) Yungclas was born January 28, 1939 in Osage to John and Josephine (Aaron) Frank. She married Richard Paul Yungclas on September 5, 1970.

She enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, and baking. She was known as the "banana bread lady".

Margaret is survived by three sons, Allen James Yungclas, and Kevin Joel (Angela) Yungclas, of Ames, and John Jacob Yungclas of California; one daughter, Julie Kay (Christopher) Wright-Misenheimer, of California; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, Ed Frank and Jake (Rose) Frank, all of Mason City; and three sisters, Rose (Walter) Portis, and Ann Peterson, all of Mason City, and Catherine ( Edward) Stoner, of Atlanta, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and four siblings, Betty Sankey, and Joseph, Frank, and John Jr. Frank.
