June 20, 1928 - September 18, 2011
Obituary

Clayton Charles Haberkorn, 83, of Hollister, Missouri, died Sunday, September 18, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 23 at 1:00 p.m. at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in the Gilbert Cemetery.

Clayton Haberkorn was born June 20,1928 in Floyd County, Iowa to Charles and Freda (Galloway) Haberkorn. He married Betty Grady on May 19, 1972.
He had been employed at the ISU University Press for 20 years. He owned Tanglewood Lodge in Branson, Missouri.

He enjoyed fishing, games, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Haberkorn, of Hollister, MO; children, Linda (Mike) Makelbust, of Ames, Shirlie (Steve) Forth, of Gilbert, Marlana (Mike) Harwell of Branson, MO, Gary (Linda) Grady, of Ankeny, Ronnie (Polly) Grady, of Nevada, Rick Haberkorn, of Story City, and Kelley (Darrell) Hunter,of Cambridge; 22 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 3 brothers, Lloyd (Jan), Dean (Lorna), and Bob (Bonnie) Haberkorn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Jamey Grady, and sister, Betty Anderson.
Memorial contributions are designated to Lymphoma Leukemia Society or the cardiacrehab unit at Skagg's Hospital in Branson, Missouri.
