Peggy Finnestad Moor
BORN: December 13, 1937
DIED: October 24, 2010
LOCATION: Story City, IowaPeggy Joyce Finnestad Moor was born December 13, 1937 to William and Delta (Jones) Heaton in Bussey, Iowa. She married Edward Finnestad on September 25, 1965. He died August 10, 2001. She married Rodney Moor on December 24, 2001. Peggy worked as a C.N.A. at Bethany Manor for 20 years. Peggy was a member of St. Petri Lutheran Church. She lived in Story City from 1966 to 1996, in Hubbard from 1996 to 2007, and then spent her remaining years in Story City. She enjoyed making porcelain dolls and going to the casino. Peggy especially enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Rodney Moor of Story City; three daughters, Lana Finnestad of Ames, Lisa Harriman of Ellsworth, and Mary Roche of Ames; five grandchildren; a brother, Jack Heaton of Knoxville; and four sisters, Norma Kauzlarich of Knoxville, Bonnie Cowman of Knoxville, Shirley Gullion of Norwalk, and Carolyn Fee of Eddyville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ed Finnestad; son, Gene Stevens and three brothers, Don, David and Jim Heaton.
