Jeffrey Wayne Danielsen

BORN: July 27, 1955
DIED: January 16, 2011
LOCATION: Ames, Iowa

Jeff was born in Cedar Falls, Iowa on July 27, 1955 to Wayne Olaf and Beverly Jane (Cole) Danielsen. He spent most of his childhood in Newton and graduated from North Scott High School in 1973. He attended Iowa State University for two years before starting work at the DOT where he worked in the sign shop, preliminary survey and photogrammetry; he was also a licensed land surveyor. Jeff retired in June 2010.

Jeff married Kay Kuhn in Nevada, Iowa on August 15, 1989. He was an avid musician, playing guitar with the rock band Vivace for many years. He enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley, and helping his sons with their many activities. He was also a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church.

Jeff is survived by his wife; Kay Danielsen of Ames; two sons,; Eric and Austin Danielsen, both of Ames; his mother, Beverly Jane Danielsen of Cedar Falls; brother, Patrick Danielsen, of Cedar Falls; five nieces and two nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; and many aunts and uncles.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father.
